DOG TRAINING

The goal is to establish a genuine bond between you and your dog; a bond that is based on trust and love.

I teach you to communicate with your dog in a way that he understands. I aim to enhance your knowledge of how dogs learn and interact with each other so that you will be exactly the person your dog thinks you are – the best person in the world.

Whether you are thinking of bringing a new dog home or you already have one that needs training, whether your dog is a puppy or an adult I can help you.

Obedience training for adult dogs

My obedience training sessions are designed to help you with specific issues you may have with your adult dog. This could be any of the following:

  • Pulling on the leash
  • Toilet training
  • Barking
  • Recall problems
  • Chewing
  • Jumping up
  • General obedience

Behavioural consultation

You may be struggling with any of the below problems:

  • Separation anxiety
  • Excessive Barking
  • Dog to dog aggression
  • Dog to human aggression
  • Guarding behaviour
  • Unwanted chewing
  • Hyper activity

Every dog has a character and personality of his own. Every dogs home environment has a different set of stimuli and routines. Consequently, the relationship between you and your dog is unique. One thing your dog has in common with all other dogs is his intuitive and instinctual way of communicating through energy and body language.

To begin to properly diagnose your dogs specific behavioural issues, I conduct a thorough evaluation of your dog. Consultations will take place in the home, or if it needs be, where the source of the problem lies. The first consultation can be as long as 2 hours depending on the issue. Since we cant ask a dog to please hurry up and get over a problem, patience is required when rehabilitating a dog.

Positive results will be seen in the initial consultation and it may be that you will only need one session.

We may need to develop a training plan to address the needs of your dog. This will involve a precise solution and effective techniques to use with your dogs. Since dogs survive through intuition, you will learn how to tap into your own intuitive side to begin to bridge the gap between you and your dog. You will begin to communicate with your dog naturally and effectively.

My experience proves that if the needs of the dog and its particular breed are satisfied, the behavioural issues disappear almost every time. Remember, dogs in their natural habitat never develop issues they exhibit when they start living with us.

You may find blog “How do I know if my dog is happy relevant and helpful.

Soon after following the training plan, you will feel empowered and confident that you are addressing your dogs issues properly. I will enable you to begin the process of rehabilitation so that you and your dog can enjoy a more balanced and harmonious relationship.
